About Us

Once upon a time, Tash Barneveld had a dream. A dream to open a yarn store full of beautiful hand-dyed yarn and fibre, comfortable couches and copious cups of tea. In 2011 that dream became a brick and mortar store.

The name ‘Holland Road’ comes from two places – my Dutch heritage and a London flat. The heritage is obvious, whereas the flat was a place where travellers found they had an unexpected family. It is still referred to by all that have lived there as a definition of fun, friends and support. Holland Road is a state of mind, an aspiration, a pleasure. And all those other appropriate hyperbole you may like to throw in there.
